i'm currently taking lamotrigine for bipolar and elavil for depression/anxiety. these medications are helping with my mood and don't have many negative side effects so i'm planning on staying on them. however, i also have adhd and i feel like my doctor isn't paying attention to that. it's nearly impossible for me to complete tasks and that is affecting me negatively at school and work and i feel like i just can't do every day activities because i can't focus on anything. whenever i bring this up to my doctor he just tells me that medication for adhd could send me into a manic phase. i really need help with this and i don't know what to do. any advice?

There are non stimulant meds like Intuniv. They may not be as affective, but it does help some.

My pdoc said the same to me about irritableness and mania.

Some of my others are add, but we are also addicts and luv adderoll, so no adderoll for us!
