I have seen him four times now and each time he blows my mind. Today he began by saying that after our session last week he was thinking that I might benefit from a structured treatment plan. We sat down and discusses the things that are the biggest issues in my life, the goals that these things are blocking, and goals and objectives that we can achieve with therapy as a support.

It seems simple, but in the 6 years I was with my old therapist, we never ever had a formal treatment plan. I would just go in and talk and never really get anywhere.

I am actually excited (and also scared because this means I really have to face my fears now) that I will start to grow as a person and live the life I am meant to live.

Hey,

I think it is a good thing you gave someone else a try, especially when you feel the old therapist didn't support you the way you wanted. I mean you seem very happy with the switch over. I personally switched over twice because I felt my old therapist wouldn't give me the support I needed.

Please keep us up to date on how things are going. We have to remember our minds are special and they deserve the best. Good Luck!

That's wonderful! It's so great to find someone in the mental health field who's really good.

That's good! I'm happy you like your new therapist.
