Feeling restless and stir crazy. I'd love to get out for a walk, but it's still raining. I'm too broke to go do anything. Got a bunch of gift cards, but it appears I will be using a lot of it to pay for groceries instead of fun stuff.

What do you guys do when you get super restless, bored, stir crazy?

Restlessness is a tough one. If I can't walk I try to distract myself with a movie. I also enjoy coloring mandalas. That really helps calm and center me. Do you have activities you enjoy (that don't cost anything?) If so maybe one of those could help.

Walking meditation... walking throughout the house around-&-around... back-&-forth... focusing light attention on each foot as it encounters the floor. Thoughts come & thoughts go. Periodically I chant... (see my Signature statement below...)

This actually helps even if it looks strange to an outsider.

My version got me assessed. I was pacing singing knocking on heavens door.
