I take latuda, ambien, melatonin and Benadryl still some nights I don't sleep more than 5 hours of interrupted sleep. One of the most important things is to take the meds the same time and go to bed at the same time. Good sleep hygiene is essential. It took me a long time to learn that since I always had some reason to stay awake or tell myself it wasn't working.

Maybe you could suggest promethazine to your pdoc. Its a anti histaminicum with strong sedative effect. I use it prn if oxa or temazepam dont work. Seroquel as mentioned before also works well for me as mirtazapine. Well all meds have their own side effects, weight gain, weight loss, restless leggs etc. I hope you and your pdoc will find something that works for you. Insomnia sucks.

Dx: Mix anhedonia with Bipolar II. Add some insomnia and chronic stress. Season with paroxetine and a pinch of ADD. Stir well to induce a couple of hypo/manic episodes. After the excess of energy is gone, remove the Paroxetine and serve chilled with some C-PTSD and GAD. Ready is your MDD. Mx: To clean up the mess use lamotrigine, risperidon, mirtazapine and sertraline. Let it soak in for a while but keep a close eye on it. Meanwhile enjoy your desert of oxazepam/temazepam prn. |
