So from about mid november through till early last week... I was high as a kite so much so Im scared to start my last semester of college because I bombed last semester so badly. Now I can feel myself crashing and went to see pdoc this morning and his solution.....reduce my lamictal... I mean I get that it can be making my mania worse, but I feel like Im completely falling apart right now and how can backing off something with antidepressant qualities help!!! My seroquel doesn't do **** for my moods but its amazing to help me sleep since I don't sleep when Im up, down, sideways ..whatever!! I feel like when I go in to talk to him I never say what I mean to say. I did admit to him that I experience psychosis and he was glad I told him, but he said the seroquel should help...umm Ive had hallucinations while on it!! Sorry for the rant Im just so frustrated and over all this!!!

I think it might be time for a new pdoc. Just my two cents.

He's at my university so it's easy and most other places around here are booked like 4 months out!! I feel like he's one of those guys that try to use the least amount of meds which I understand I want to be on the least amount possible... But if that's not enough then something needs to be done!!

You don't mess around with BP, period! Is he experienced with this type of diagnosis? Sometimes they are just used to Depression and Anxiety. Maybe have a VERY frank talk with him.

I used to have the problem of forgetting what exactly my problems were when I would go I to see my pdoc sometimes too. I started making lists before seeing them so that I made sure I would get everything in.
My pdoc was also the same way, least amount of men's possible. Needless to say I don't see him anymore.
Good luck and I'm sorry for your frustrations at this time.
Thanks for this!

I called my doc this morning and he got back to me and decided not to change my Lamictal, but didn't add anything after telling me he thinks I'm in a mixed episode and just to keep him posted on my cycling. I have school starting on Tuesday and I am so not stable enough for that!!
