Right now I'm on haldol. No side effects yet. I've only been on it a couple of weeks.

I took zyprexa for a week and gained nine pounds! It also put me in a weird unsettled anxious upset place.
Now I take seroquel but only after a few days of no sleep. It's so sedating its torture. My bf basically has to hold me down and force feed me

I'm on Invega and I have no side effects. Only soreness at the injection site for a couple of days afterward.

I'm so afraid to try haldol bc I get akathisia so bad. I might look into it. So glad it works for you though!

Thanks for this!

I'm so afraid if get akathisia and it would just become permanent. Latuda made me do weird things with my jaw and when I'm really relaxed it still does just slightly. I may ask for the pills though.

Lol...risperdal works for me but I crave carbs like crazy on it. I'll start making banana bread, potato soup, fresh bread and eat most of it in like 2 days. I get a little manicky on it too. It doesn't make me tired at all....

I'm on Zyprexa and Geodon. The latter made me lose weight, which I promptly gained back when I added the former. I've been on the two APs for a couple of years now so I think the weight fluctuations have leveled off. I seldom weigh myself but I can tell by the fit of my clothes if I gain or lose. And they've fit the same for more than a year.

I'm on Abilify. The only side effects I experienced were when I first started it (at 10mg) a few years ago. I am pretty sensitive to medications so the first day after I took it for the first time (I take it at night) I felt like I was going to die. It was like I had the flu. So we cut down to 5mg and worked our way back up to 10.

Anyway, after about 2 or 3 weeks back at 10mg, I started to fee like a zombie. That lasted for a few days.

I've gained a hell of a lot of weight since I've been on medication, but I think that's mainly due to lethargy which I don't know if it is caused by the Abilify or Citalopram.

That's about all the side effects I had.

Oh! Back in Sept.-Nov. when I went hypo, I stopped taking my meds (for 5 weeks) and after about 3 weeks I did feel minor shakes in my hands, which I assume are some kind of withdrawal side effect; at least, I read somewhere that it is a side effect of stopping Abilify and other APs.

Currently only on zyprexa. I did gain a lot of weight on it but I'm losing that without trying now that I'm tapering off.

I'm on Saphris. The only side affect I've had and its a good one is that it puts me to sleep. I take it right before I go to bed.

I'm on haloperidol and seroquel. My hair is brittle and thinning like crazy, but I'm not sure which medication is causing it, since I'm also on Lamictal and that may be why. Otherwise, I don't believe I've had any side effects.

I'm on Latuda. It makes me nauseous and sometimes vomit when I don't eat enough before taking it, and it makes me tired so I have to go to bed, but that's really it in terms of side effects.

After being on a lot of APs I'm now on Abilfy again. i think the others worked better but they caused prolonged QT heart rhythm. I'm still on Thorazine at night so my pdoc still has me do EKGs just in case. My main problem with Ability is that I sweat profusely, so there's now Cogentin in the mix to see if it counteracts that.

I have taken many. I currently take a low dose of Abilify (I'm being weaned off of it) which I had no side effects that I am aware of. I was just weaned off of Haldol, which the only side effect I had was weight gain. I am now on Clozarl (Clonapine). The side effects of that are terrible constipation, drooling, and weight gain (I crave carbs ridiculously and my appetite is insasiable).

Thanks everyone for your responses. I've been on some mentioned. I want off zyprexa so bad bc of the weight gain but I'm scared to come off it. It seems like the weight neutral ones have all given me akathisia. I might look into invega and saphris. But I knew someone on saphris and they got really bad akathasia. Idk, idk....
