I have some days like that where everything gets on my nerves. I just try to make it through it and not throw any major tantrums.

I have days like that. I don't have advice. Just that I understand.

Could also be side effects of your other meds. Go online and check each one.
I've been having terrible headaches at night. I think it's the Temazepam side effect.

I totally understand this, I take a klonapin every morning before work and keep a spare on me. There are days where it takes everything I have not to lose my ****!! I have an OCD coworker, I try to be understanding if this esp with all my issues but somedays her mouth never closes and its hard for me to cope. She has to insert herself in every conversation and it becomes over the top with details that aren't relevant

OMG don't you just hate that! I don't know what's more irritating, people smiling, or the fact that it irritates me to see people smiling! I get like that too. Sometimes I just want to smack perky, peppy, smiling people in the head! I can't stand those moods. I hope your day gets better!

I have this problem too. And it gets worse before my "period". But I am also irritable when I am too stressed or in an episode. I could flip out on every small thing then. It really annoys me, cause even if I realize I am irritable I often cannot change it :-(

Usually mine goes hand in hand. When I get tired and overwhelmed with anxiety/depression, etc then I get irritable. It's like all my energy is used up taking care of myself.

Be careful. I'm not saying it is, but it sounds like it could be the beginning of a mixed episode.
I can tell I'm mixed if I break something or cuss someone out and become absolutely euphoric. Like I'm angry and threatening someone, but laughing at the same time. That's when I have to be sedated.

Not saying this is you, just be careful, that's all.

Hello boogs do you have children and if so how do you handle your irritability in that situation? Please excuse me if that's too personal.

I don't have children but if it were my niece or nephew I'd act like everything is ok but in my head I'm about to blow up. Sometimes I'd snap but catch myself and bite my toungue.

Been well past few days no irritability and able to handle everything. My therapist said it could be related to depression or I'm withdrawing from benzo and it is putting me edgy.

I have been fine but during the last hour of work I got really anxious about nothing and had the same cave in feeling as I did when I was agitated. I did get home and took a klonopin. I told my doc I take it about 3-4x a week. She wasn't concerned with it being an issue of dependency but I'm starting to think if it is? Can anyone shed any light on this?

That's a really low dose. But if you've been taken it for a long time, it might effect you.

Benzos mess up your GABA in your brain, which plays a big role in the central nervous system. It reaches a point where you have to have a benzo just to function normally. Then it gets to the point where if you suddenly stop with the benzo, your central nervous system messes up and you could die.
Of course, not everyone dies. Some people just have seizures or other withdrawal symptoms. But the possibility of death is real.

Again, you're on a really low dose. Most people with problems take it everyday, several times a day. Of course, many don't realize they have a problem.... Not until they go 24 hours or so without a dose.
