When everything you used to like to do seems boring? I'm so bored it hurts.

Try searching the Internet for any phrase that comes to mind like "purple ducks with monkey faces". You'll be surprised at some of the results that show up, funny too.

I embrace boredom because I so rarely get to just sit and be bored. I read a good book, binge watch Downton Abbey, take a nap (what a luxury!).

I'm right there with you. The fun in life is gone. I binge watch Netflix most of the time. When I get tired of that I try to spend time fixing things around the house. When the boredom is too much I sleep.

I had my antidepressant changed and I am starting to embrace some of the things I found fun, but it is waning I have changed a lot of my medication, so at times everything is boring and everything I do seems to take an enormous amount of energy out of me. You must realize it is symptom of depression. There is stuff out there that is illegal, that even doctors believe would be beneficial to those suffering from depression. I am not going to lie, when I had the freedom to smoke pot everything seemed a little less boring, but that was a temporary fix. Living in cold winter climates doesn't help as going outdoors in the wamr and sunlight is great for overall well being and just being active.

Honestly? I've become a figure skating addict. I don't understand half of it because my brain is not capable of focusing and learning right now but I do enjoy it and spend lots and lots of time reading about it, watching on YouTube and even reading many, many interviews with my favorite coach. Yes, I have a favorite coach.

But this has kept me going through the last depression and this mixed episode (back to back) so go skaters.

I feel it is almost definitely symptom of depression. I'm having a depressive episode but experiencing it in weirder ways this time around. It's beyond just being a little bored. I can't find joy or interest in anything.

I think I would do better if I was in a climate that was warm and sunny, but here it is freezing and overcast everyday.

I've noticed that my depression isn't always the same at times. It's like I know I'm depressed, but not really the same as before. Sometimes it's the "my mind is always blank" type, or it can be the "what did I do to deserve this life?" type. But if you find no joy in life either way and it is seriously affecting you, then I would look at treating your depression before it gets worse.

I just don't feel like dealing with anymore changes to meds. All in all I'm doing better this time around despite feeling lousy. I've been way worse.

Possible trigger:
.

I thought seeing my boyfriend would help, but once again, I don't get to see him. It hurts. It's been a couple weeks now. Supposedly seeing him tomorrow, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Something always happens. It doesn't seem like he is trying or really cares anymore.

Yes, this is where I am now, bored, can't wait for bedtime, already took a 3 hour nap thinking about taking my night meds cause I know they knock me out, but if I do I'll be up at 3 am sigh. Browse internet, Facebook, play games on my phone. I really need to find something mentally stimulating to fill my time. I'm bored at work, bored at home and sleep is the only relief
