Is it just me?
During the week I look forward to the weekend. I think I will bound out of bed, have coffee with a friend, clean up a little bit, and read a book. I find I cannot do these things. I think going to work all week chews up energy and my batteries have to go into the recharger on the weekends.

Today, I barely made it to the shower. I cancelled dinner plans with my friend, and can't pay attention to the book I planned to read. Funny thing is, I don't feel depressed or tired.

I think this is the curse of being bipolar. Having to work so hard to get through each day all the while checking in with myself to make sure I am doing ok. The thing is, I am stable right now and I find I still have to hold watch over myself just in case there is a hole in front of me ready to swallow me up.

So my question is, are weekends the worst for anyone else? If so, why is it the case?

I am the same. I either feel like a caged bird who needs to escape or I bunker down and through depression or mania I isolate and become almost agoraphobic. It depends. I can easily be manic in my bed all weekend.

My weekends tend to be pretty boring. I went out shopping today for some new music gear so that was nice. Probably going to watch some messed up Japanese horror movie tonight and go to bed.

Weekends can be hard for me as well. I don't know if it is the lack of a routine? I get bored. I find myself looking forward to working even though all week I look forward to the weekend. Get tired of being in the house. Chores don't get done. I always have good intentions.

Today I called my dad up and decided to come hang out with him instead of sitting at home miserable.

I hate the weekends too. The malls are mobbed, my weekday TV shows are not on and buses are crammed. During the week at least i get to jubillate that at least i don't have to work and can take a nap on a Wednesday afternoon.

For me, every day is the weekend since I'm on SSDI and don't have a job. The "real" weekend differs only because there's nothing on TV on Saturday and I go to church on Sunday. LOL

I feel the same way on weekends. I think you're right about the week taking so much out of you. Hope you're able to take care and rest.

My weekends are either incredibly busy or absolutely empty. Usually I end up doing nothing and being a lazy stinky slob. But if I'm doing anything for family, I'm so busy my head is spinning..
