We have this in my DBSA support group. 1 being so depressed you are in hospital. 10 so manic you're in hospital.
5 is safe and stable. I'm a 4.

An 8, flaked out of lectures on my first day back and realised I can't finish my medical degree. I really hate it. I hate myself, for not being able to finish. What do I even have to live for, my parents resent me and I am a burden, I have no friends and I'm so tired of my meds not working. Sorry to ramble on the same point, I hope I don't bring everyone down. My life is such a mess.

I feel amazingly amazing, but I know it's a sign of my illness. So, I feel like I'm a 9 because I feel wonderful, but in reality being a 9 isn't my stable self and I do stupid things, so I'm probably a 4.

Probably mostly 8. On rare occasions I feel a bit better like a 7.

Today I am a 5. This where I have been for the past 6 weeks or so. It's good to feel stable.

I'd say about 5 or 6. Not too bad but stressed about having to spend more than I get a month on expensive problems.
