I put some cover-up make up on my nose and cheek bones. Swim glasses protect my eyes.
So the reflexion from the water gives me enough sun. I never sun myself outside. My mom had 5 skin cancers, thankfully none the real bad kind. I had a nasty blister that wouldn't heal on my nose two years ago. Now I have some virgin skin from the biopsies. So I always use that cover up. Since there are lots of reports of vitamin D being good to fight depression, I think it's important. My regular vitamin has a little vitamin D in it too. How are you getting enough Vitamin D?

I'm sunbathing nude in the front yard.
On a serious note, I take prescription supplements when levels are too low. I'd probably have better luck with sunbathing though. |

Too much is bad for you (toxic), so make sure you know you need it.
But chances are you need it when depressed, obviously.

Mine has been low so I take vitamin D supplement every morning

Blood tests showed i was low..so i take a supplement. We live in the desert, so no sunbathing here

I take 5000 units of vitamin D3 every day, and my level tests out as just enough.

My vit D levels were critical on blood tests, so, yes, I'm supplementing it
|

I live in Northern Alberta, and from September to March we only get about 5 hours of sun a day. That is when I take vitamin D.
In the summer we get about 3 hours of darkness a day, so no need for any D supplement.

I too supplement my vitamin D as my levels were low. I also try and get out in the sun each day, and luckily where I live is almost always sunny. Still I get depressed so not sure whats going on there.

I take 2000 IU a day. I just take it at night with my other meds, as it's easy to remember.
I think I literally have a year's supply of vitamin D. There was some crazy good sale at CVS, so I stocked up! |

I live in the tundra so it's hard to get vitamin D the natural way
Jk, but I do live about 50 miles from the Canadian border and practically everyone here has low vitamin D and takes supplements (including me) |
