Of course, I'm over 300 lbs. and unable to do much physical activity, so something's gotta give. But I can't imagine dieting again...and weight loss surgery isn't an option due to finances.

What any of that has to do with bipolar, I don't know. Supposedly there is a link between BP (got that) obesity (yup), and even diabetes (I have that too). I think the meds have something to do with it because so many of them make you hungry, which makes you overeat, which leads to obesity, and obesity is a huge risk for type 2 diabetes.

Speaking of cinnamon rolls: my son in law makes the most amazing Kahlua cinnamon rolls you've ever tasted. It takes half a day but they are SO worth the effort. YUM!
Someone else like me....I can't get my self to eat much of any veggies, if any at all. I'm so picky! I have the diet of a five year old. I love cake, ice cream, pizza, fries...

I hate to admit it here because some of you struggle so much, but I have no sugar cravings due to meds and no weight gain (though I eat healthier, I am also more active; less severe depression).

However, I can eat a lot of sugary stuff when (severely) depressed: it's really all I can eat/digest. But it only gives me heightened anxiety, which makes sense because I don't do much else. So, now I make absolutely sure I don't eat anything containing sugar when depressed. Even if that means eating (next to) nothing (of course I do drink liquids, take supplements). I do drink milk; lots.

Yum..cinnamon rolls, vicarious enjoyment. I still browse bakery counters, and read recipes and watch tv baking shows.

Yes, sadly. I have something sweet at least once a day, now that I think about it. I do have a sweet tooth!

Has anyone thought of or attempted cutting out sugar completely? And by this I mean processed sugars and not in natural foods like fruit.

I am losing weight by cutting out sugar. Sugar is more addicting than cocaine.

Yes I want to cut out sugar. I need to. I need to lose ten more pounds I gained from seroquel.

Salt, for me it's salt.
I can't seem to get enough salty greasy food.
It's my downfall
