Because I drive a long way to see my pdoc she makes time for me on the day I see my therapist so I don't have to drive as much. Since it's a work-in every month she sends an email to the scheduler telling them to put me in at whatever time whatever day.

I was supposed to see her Monday. I saw on my patient portal thing that I was scheduled with someone else I'd never heard of. So I called and it turns out that was an error and scheduling had set me up with a strange to me NP.

Now I don't know when I'll see my pdoc but at least I'm not walking into a stranger's office with no idea why.

Yeah, that's strange. Good thing you asked.

My old therapist double booked me once, but I didn't know it and I actually drove to my "appointment". Then she was like, "Oh, I forgot to put you in."

Shortly after that, my therapy place started sending out confirmation emails and confirmation phone calls. Is there any way you can get them to confirm your appointment when they put it in?

I get an email about confirming my appointment electronically about a week before. So at least I do see things like this. It is however probably too late to get in to see her as soon as I was supposed to. I assume I'll get squeezed in somewhere else now. Oh well. Better than trying to figure out why I'm seeing a stranger when I am there.
