I think me and Latuda have to breakup. Our relationship is on the rocks... I can't stand her anymore because she makes me too tired.

My relationship with Lexapro and Lamictal are fine, but Lexapro doesn't feel like working as hard anymore. Lexapro is lazy. My pdoc won't increase the dose because he thinks Lexapro will make me manic.

I'll need a new antidepressant soon, but I've heard bad things about Effexor... like brain zaps and stuff.

Anyone try Wellbutrin?
Thanks for this!

Wellbutrin was my choice for awhile until it just stopped working. When it did work it worked great.

I've been on wellbutrin and found it was most effective the week that I thought it was going to solve my problems (placebo effect). I'm a bit concerned about the anxiety side effects because although I don't have issues with motivation, I get constant anxiety and wellbutrin is supposed to make that worse. Is depression more your issue or anxiety?

My anxiety levels are high, but my depression is significantly worse. I often feel suicidal when I get depressed. So if I had to choose between fixing depression or anxiety, I would fix depression.

Maybe Wellbutrin isn't a good idea...

I was in post-mania depression where I just didn't want to get out of bed and was sleeping a lot. Wellbutrin clearly helped there to give me motivation/make me stay awake more and not sleep 12-14 hrs a day. But now I don't need anything to get me out of bed and I noticed a lot of anxiety and don't know if the wellbutrin is to blame. I think it helps more with motivation than with negative thoughts (at least that was my p-dr's angle), but I don't really know for sure.

Latuda is supposed to be monotherapy or together with Lithium or Valproate,
according to the manufacturer. Lamictal is not mentioned.
Maybe they don't mix that good?.

I used to have a nice thing going with Latuda, yea she was maybe a little too mellow. Can't remember why I left her. Was thinking I'd give her a call and see if she wants to hang out.

Lamictal was ok, kinda boring, everyone else loves it. Lexapro I felt like I was on acid, but honestly I didn't give it long enough to really know.

I just ended my fling with Effexor, sent me manic. Horrible withdrawls, brain zaps, diarrhea, hate him.

Now Welbutrin, he was a good time. But doc took me off, said I was having too good of a time lol.

I've had great luck with Wellbutrin and Citalopram. Everyone's cocktail is so different. I hope you find something that works.

I thought latuda was hot but I wasn't ready for a long term relationship yet so I didn't give him enough time

I don't know why everyone has the hots for lamictal, he made me crazy.literally.

My newest babe is abilifye maintena. Sure I only see him once a month but the love lasts a long time

I have been on Effexor for quite a while now I have always heard bad things
about it but I have tolerated it far better than any other med I have tried.
I don't think it's perfect but it keeps me some what stable and it has the fewest
side effects for me.

I love wellbutrin, he got me to stop sleeping all day every day I could. Now Lamictal, I think I have to let him go. The more I get of him, the worse I feel. I'm not really feeling Effexor either, but he just hangs out in the background.

Wellbutrin and me had a long ride. She was my first antidepressant. Doc is taking me off of it due to anxiety issues. Cymbalta is going to have to take the load. Doc is thinking of increasing Latuda says it helps figh bp depression. I'm currently on 80 which was a recent increase. To be honest have been feeling better. Slight moments of depression but not as bad as before. Maybe you need more Latuda in your life too??

Wellbutrin made me rage uncontrollably. Doc tried different doses but after the second time in 2 months I almost broke my hand and the sixth hole I punched/kicked in our walls I was over it.

I should say that rage is how my mania exhibits so guess it sent me into an unending mania except I slept just fine.

The main problem so far with Effexor is diminished sex drive. Even if I'm not having sex the drive helps to make me feel alive.

My ADs of choice: Lexapro, Zoloft and Wellbutrin. I was on Lexapro until it pooped out on me, then I was on Zoloft until the same happened, and now I'm on Wellbutrin, and it's actually my favorite of all the ADs I've ever been on.

Never tried Wellbutrin, but my best antidepressant to date is Brintellix, which is new. You have to eat some protein when you take it or it messes up your stomach, but other than that it's been the most effective antidepressant I've used since Prozac stopped working for me.
