I don't like tattoos, but this fits your question: dr jekyll and mr hyde

What's a good tattoo idea to represent BP?
Thanks for this!

Very cool idea! Thanks. I would just worry that I got the words wrong and it meant "pink poo for you" lol.

I'm polish so I got pink Floyd lyrics "how I wish you were here" for my mom. I actually emailed quite a few ppl from Poland and had them help me. They all said the same thing so that helped. And after I got it I showed my polish grandmother for the last but most important test. And to my relief she read it correctly!

RXQueen how about a wilted black rose and a beautiful red rose.
That may be a good representation of bipolar.

I've been planning to get the quote,
“Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her,
still she sings the same, knowing she has wings.”
I just love the quote, and it makes me think of trying to think of my strengths and remember how capable I am, during the darker times. It's so long though, so I don't know.

I've also recently had a kind of goofier idea in mind. I remember thinking that the plants that actually need wildfires to flourish were so cool when I learned about them in school years ago. I was thinking recently and realized the sorta connection, because although depressions are horrible when I go through them, I kind of feel like coming out of them is just the most amazing thing and things always seem even better and brighter than before because of the contrast from the depression, like a sorta new beginning.
So I think I might eventually get a sequoia or a jack pine or something.
Thanks for this!

I love your tattoos. Yin yang makes sense. And Phoenix, and butterfly.
I read this shop is offering a free service, so cool. But looks like they are in Australia.

All great ideas! Love this thread.

I'd suggest Icarus (of course, it being in my name), also as a reminder not to fly too high.

I have a (massive) dragon fly tattoo. I admit I was manic when I got it but I have no regrets.I consider the dragonfly to be my own set of wings. The dragonfly stands for strength, individualism, change and transformation, emotional maturity, and an undertsnding of a deeper meaning of life.

Ironiccally I knew none of this when I decided to get it. I have simply had an interest in and been drawn to them since childhood.

I have a ton of tattoos, and I don't regret them, but I do regret spending all that money when I didn't have any to spend.
Now that I'm relatively stable I'm trying to pay down my debts and manage my money more effectively, since I've spent the last couple years being reckless and buying crap I don't need.

The dragonfly was another idea of mine. But that too would have to go with my stars on my shoulders. Plus my arms are pretty thin so their May not be too much room.

I also liked the Egyptian eye or Horus.

How about a yin/yang symbol with a comedy mask in one side and tragedy mask in the other? Or an image like Janus, the Roman dual faced god of transitions?

also something to do with weather would be cool...storm clouds with lightening but also sun and rainbow - a volatile springtime sky would look amazing in 'watercolor' style

Here is mine, the moon in the sun. Sorry for the bad picture. It's hard to do a back of the neck selfie. I also have a semi colon on my wrist.

I say something that signifies and symbolizes change, transformation, strength, and resilience. Perhaps a 'totem' like an animal that represents these things. I myself have a dragonfly across my back.
