This is related to ED so trigger warning:

I've a history of anorexia and I've lost a lot of weight again. It is like I can't see it but the scale shows, people tell me, my clothes are sliding off of me. Of course, there's the bipolar 1 and my anxiety disorders. I have also have had some extreme diarrhea (like thirty times a day) and have gone through numerous tests. I'm on meds for it but the problems are back full force. In addition, I have a cold.

So, I'm feeling like crap and I'm a little concerned. I am not IP - material but have no appetite and could easily slip back into anorexia. I just feel like my body is breaking down. I've been sipping Gatorade and eating is near impossible. I'm taking all my meds plus two gummy bear vitamins daily.

I'm scared. Today my tongue is coated yellow. It was like that a few weeks ago.

I'll be alright. I have so many health problems including chronic pain. But I am scared because I have no appetite and I feel like my body may be shutting down ... maybe that is too dramatic but let's say I feel like I got hit by a truck and I'm spaced out.

The Eating Disrders forum is too triggering for me. I hope you don't mind me posting this here. I think I need a nudge and tips to keep me out of the hospital due to my malnourished state. Baby steps. Any ideas? Thoughts? Can anyone relate?

Thanks for listening.

How about drinking protein shakes along with that Gatorade? It'd add some nutrition to your diet and would go down easy.

Hello Rainy. (((hugs))) Of course it is okay to post here. Whatever you have to do to get better, it is alright. When i could not eat and had cancer i lost 72 lbs in 5 months. I could only drink ensure drinks for protein, water. I could not eat anything either. I had no appetitie and all i did was sleep. Go out and get multi vitamins, then ensure, plus protein mix to put in milk or blend with ice cream and drink them.
Then ask the doctor for a medicine to increase your appetite. have your thyroid checked also for possibly being inactive. i hope this helps, tc

Post away. You're "qualified", hehe.
When I'm in your situation, I eat a lot of saltines. With salt, for water retention.
I hope you feel better very soon.

I also recommend the ensure, and foods like Greek yogurt, oatmeal, anything you can tolerate.

And if you have the energy, put a banana in your shake.

Glad to hear from you. I'll pray you get over your cold and get healthier soon.

Thank you, everyone. Turns out I have a throat infection, not a cold, so I'm on antibiotics now. (Boyfriend took me to CentraCare on Sunday.) My sore throat is getting slowly better so I am managing more food. Gatorade (low cal), banana daily, and one or two other things each day. I've lost three more lbs since this post but I'm on the upswing. Brain fog is clearing. I just want my regular ol' bipolar back lol

Thanks again xo

PS: Boyfriend bought Boost shakes but I've not gotten up the nerve yet. I am taking gummy bear vitamins. Maybe that's equivalent ?
