Since starting Lithium, other than thirst.....I crave fruity flavored things.
I never ate much candy & now I want starburst, Popsicles, fruit punch, things like that.
Bizarre!
Anybody else?

I haven't noticed lithium cause any change in my "cravings" besides the usual stuff ... I have a softspot for really salty snacks ... sunflower seeds, chips, that sort of stuff.

And booze. But that's for a different reason

After 35 years of not smoking I started to crave smokes. It's a luxury but I'm only temporary.

Since I've been on Lithium I cannot get enough to drink. I also cannot get enough sweets to eat. I was never a big chocolate fan, but now...wow!!! I can just eat and eat it. Whereas before it was sort of "well that's my piece of chocolate for the year".

I wonder why?

When I was pregnant I craved disgusting things, like cottage cheese with bacon. Yummy.

Since I started Brintellix, I've stopped liking coffee (something I lived on) and started craving mexican spices.

Weird.

My cravings shift from week to week. I just got out of a cinnamon sugar phase. I think I'm going into an ice cream phase. There have also been chocolate phases, gummy bear phases, peanut better m&m phases, apple pie phases....
They usually last from 2 to 4 weeks. And rarely are they healthy in any way.

I have a lot of bad junk food cravings, but I'm trying not to give in. I'm in an unfortunate situation where I'm 5 lb underweight with a total cholesterol of roughly 300 (I think normal is like 150???). So, I have to eat super healthy unless I want to be put on a statin

I crave lots of ice cream and candy, but I've purposely replaced those sweets with yogurt, granola, Jell-O, etc.. I still get my sugar, but it's much less. (Too much sugar and carbs increases cholesterol.)

If you're worried about your health, try organic snacks or fruits.

OMG! I keep saying I'm going to go, but never remember until you bring it up. Since I moved, I'm about 50 or so miles from there...but I'll make it up there one day.
