Slept over 2 hours. Feel groggy. Feel better than I did.

I took .25mg. I can't take this anymore. I just want to be settled and balanced.
I don't know if I'm having BP symptoms or just lability created by med change. It's kind of maddening. I do not want to be on meds yet everyone says "Just relax, it's OK and you just need to take them, and you'll be balanced". Well, they haven't gained 15 pounds and lost my dream job, and taken a 10,000 pay cut at my new job. I'm just venting, sorry. I'm posting way too much on here and need to just live instead of thinking about it all the time.

.25 is a pretty small dose so you're getting somewhere! Don't worry about posting, it helps you get it out. I would call pdoc and discuss your med dosages and irritability.

Thanks RX, it does help to get it out!!

I just slept another hour and half and am going to take HS meds and go to bed. I've slept ~4.5 hours in the past 10hours so I think it's safe to say I'm no longer underslept.

.25 is a tiny dose. Is weird that it might have just fixed me, at least for the time being. And it knocked me out too briefly lol.

I can't believe I used to take 3mg daily.

I'm on the right track. i do want off it completely and need to suck it up and accept that some doses here and there are ok versus the alternative of coming unhinged. I'm embarrassed I had to leave work early. Oh well, new day, and new week coming soon.

Thanks again Off to bed and pretty much guarantee I'll sleep another solid 8.

I hear and see good things about Abilify, but at same time I really really am not a med person, and want to be on as little as possible. A happy medium maybe be giving a tiny 2mg dose a chance for a few weeks and see how it goes.
Risperdal and Abilify are different kinds of medications. Unless you don't want to medicate at all, trying the Abilify might help you without the side effects. You are the only one who can decide whether to add another mood stabilizer to your cocktail. And adding meds in small doses is really the only way to go about it, in my not-so-humble opinion.
