I'm really trying to eat healthy these days, but I have an addiction to sweets! I like any kind of sweets... candy, cake, ice cream, cookies... I never refuse sweets.

I literally ate ice cream for breakfast this morning. lol. (It was peppermint stick if you're wondering. )

Do you have an addiction to sweets? I've heard it's a BP thing! Is that true?

I can't resist sweets, though... no matter how hard I try! What do you do to resist your sweets addiction? Or do you always cave in?

I've always had a sweet tooth. While little my grandparents allowed no cookies, candy or cake.
Now, I eat rice with fresh ground coconut and it's made with a little condenced sweeten milk.
Then I'm ok. Unless the middle of the night Seraquel hunger attacks get me in trouble.

Statistics say bipolars don't cook, eat junk food and are overweight.

I used to eat a lot of sweets. As of two months ago I seem to have tapered off. No idea why. I just don't eat them as much. I definitely still have something sweet once a day but it's usually just a single piece of chocolate or something.

Though I am trying to procure some red velvet cupcakes for my birthday on Monday :-D

I stay away from sweets as much as possible because once I start I can't
seem to stop. Milk chocolate is so hard to stop eating for me.
I love the stuff but I have been strong enough not to eat it for quite some
time now.

I think it is a med thing more than a BP thing.

When I was a kid, maybe age 15 or so, I loved Atomic Fireballs. Would eat them right after another if I had them. I'm age 65 now. Maybe it was about 8 years ago I ordered a whole box of fireballs on line. I sucked, and ate them one after another. Then started to have teeth problems with a couple having to be removed. Think (wife thinks) it was the fireballs. Teeth better now, and I don't eat any Atomic Fireballs. I was put out to have the teeth removed. It all cost lots of money.

When I'm depressed I crave the sweets and carbs...when I feel better, not so much.
