I go to a county clinic...it's the only place that accepts my lousy insurance. This will be the this pdoc in less than 2 years. Since I only see them every three months it's a pain. I got lucky both times...will I get lucky a third time? Does it matter? I'm thinking of asking them to wean me off anyway because of weight gain and high cholesterol. Then I don't need to worry about a new pdoc.

I too have crap insurance and go to a community clinic. No joke, I get a new pdoc every couple months. Luckily they see im doing "ok" and just write a quick refill and I'm out. It's absolutely frustrating.

In the UK you are given a Psychiatrist.... in Scotland at the moment we have a shortage especially in my local area. In the past 6 years I'm on Psychiatrist number 17 I too see mines once every 3 months. I am lucky as I have a Nurse and others to fall back on.... it's a royal pain in the butt having to see a new one all the time

I see I'm not alone in this! Wow, didn't realize it was so common. I used to had the same pdoc for years..til I quit meds then had to start over with a new one.

I go to the free clinic and have seen three different psych drs. in the past two years. Basically I do my own research because the dr is at wits end and asks me what I have been on in the past that has worked bc we're both tearing our hair out. I want to go off meds but he wants to keep trying different ones. It's frustrating but I'm trying a new one and it works better than the last. I really wonder what the hell bp really is sometimes but I notice we all have the same kinds of problems on here. It's good to be at home!
