Last week I survived by doing things my daughter had been doing for me. Every day I did at least one thing. I told myself I could do it. I went to the store three times. I went to the gas station and filled up. I went to the bank and I drove my son to work. I also made a few phone calls.

Now it's a new week and it started with me thinking OMG I have to do this all over again. Why was I able to do it last week but this week I'm terrified to do it again. Last week I was able to cry about sad things and felt good about it. This week I haven't been able to have a good cry. I'm here and yet I'm not. Last week I responded to posts--this week I can't. I could focus on one day at a time. Not so right now. I'm so disappointed in myself.

Don't be disappointed in yourself. We all have those moments when sometimes life just takes more effort than others. I've learned to take it all day by day. So what the last two days were crap, today may not be as bad. Even though some chores may be hard, I still made it. Tomorrow is a new day. I hope you are able to find relief soon, you'll be ok. Please take care
Thanks for this!

I sometimes feel like this and have to remind myself that there are good days and there are bad days. Try not to be to hard on yourself and tomorrow is another day. If you had a good week last week then you've still had more good days than bad days. Sending you hugs and support!
Thanks for this!

Focus on your accomplishments. If you get stuck in negative thinking, it can be counterproductive for some. Be kind to yourself.

Yes, victories last week are something to be proud of.

It sounds to me like you are not fully up to speed yet. So it's perfectly okay to have one good week, and one "weak" week. Even if you can do one thing per day, it's something. And if you have to lay in bed all day for a day, so what? We are our own worst critics.

Hugs to you.

Crying will do you good. Second best laughter. That's what I do. I wish I could cry instead.
Laughing makes me look like an idiot, you know. I'm supposed to be crying.
I can craft a custom made plan to give you back your confidence. But, let me tell you, it involves smoke and firecrackers.

You just told the story of my life, otherg. I just don't know why it's like that. I think that type of thinking and feeling is at the root of bipolar disorder. But even when you get to the root of it, you'll find more and more behind even that. It's a psychological trick.

Hey otherG, sorry you're having a rough time.

I totally suck at this sometimes, but practicing self-care and self-love is essential at times like this. Cut yourself some slack, and praise your efforts last week in all the awesome things you did. Was a big step forward from the sound of it.

Couple steps forward, maybe a step back. Keep moving forward though, this isn't a setback. It's just a little rebound pang from all the good stuff you did last week.

Keep us updated on what you do tomorrow. I believe in you and think you can do one or more of the activities you did last week, tomorrow. Good luck and enjoy it

PS. I might sound overly positive and simplistic. I know that dark hole and place you refer to in your post, though don't directly name it. I had a depressive episode last year and it was the worst experience of my life. I can not describe the pain I suffered. That I'm alive is a pretty cool thing. Might have worked out different; I'm glad it didn't.

Do not give up. Ever. You are a wonderful one of a kind gift to the world.

You accomplished alot it sounds like, You should be very proud of yourself, You will have good days and you will have bad days just like people with out a mental illness, That part is every one faces, But I know for us it is a lot more difficult, Dont be hard on yourself, You will be able to do it again, You just have to do things a day at a time and be proud of yourself, I hope you have a blessed week and things keep getting better for you, Big hugs going out to you
