I can come up with many. But tonight is one of the days I get a steep reminder....if you need meds, you need meds.
I have had a migraine and while the pain responded to meds the nausea has been terrible. I took zofran and drank peppermint tea but I'm 4.5 hours past med time and still not even close to getting meds into my stomach. Pretty soon I'm going to have to take klonopin so I don't have withdrawal and give up on it. Which is not so good when your body is used to clozaril sedating it (plus I take a dose of gabapentin at night to get me to sleep since clozaril does not put me to sleep, just keeps me there). I hate this feeling, knowing I either won't sleep and will wait until I can finally hold meds down or I will throw everything off. Catch 22

Maybe eat something (next time) and throw up (more).
Sometimes I have migraines where I am nauseous, but I just can't throw up because there is nothing to throw up. Vomiting helps me to end the migraine. If I can. So I have to eat. But maybe it's different for you (I do know it helps others as well).

I would suggest taking your meds with a very small amount of water that way you don't have a lot to throw up. That's usually what I do. The more I'd eat, then more nauseous I'd get

The problem is that I can't take my meds without food and a decent amount of it. So if I feel that sick I'm not going to be taking meds. I take about 20 pills (or more) at bedtime so they easily can make me sick on their own.
Last night could have bee worse. I took klonopin alone, fell asleep about 3 and slept until noon with lots of awakenings. Today I don't feel like doing anything and that's ok.I just hope that my meds don't really sedate me tonight since tomorrow is my therapist/pdoc day (5 hours driving plus the 2 appointments). Mostly just feel like I had a migraine. Oh well.

I used to get migraines like that. They gave me an RX for anti-nausea suppositories for at home. it did help me to take the Frova which was great. Then after I recovered a bit I could take my other meds.

Because I'm on a MAOI I only have 2 options for triptans, neither of which really work. Usually zofran and norco manage things and I rarely get as nauseous as I did last night. But last night the nausea was evil. I probably should ask about suppositories for nausea so I'm not out a whole night's worth of meds. I'm honestly not used to migraines; I used to get them more days than not but since they put me on magnesium I rarely have one.

I woke with a headache but took my meds anyway. I know the nausea is still there.
My husband gets migraines and has good luck with getting in a shower and backing up and dipping his head under the hottest water he can and letting it run. This might make you barf, but it helps him.
