Please, stop telling me to rest and sleep and do shallow things as way to relax (honestly, it does not really work. Long term. And not sure I can distract through this crisis).
I can't. Too many things to do. Plus too many bad dreams. Thanks deities for things like conclears and blushes that help me create the look "I sleep in the night, really". Thanks deities people like this being my personality. Sure, I can like manic pixie version of Che Guevara (except I never killed anybody and instead of being communist I trot around with NATO flag... because it's SO PRETTY and "YO, WE ARE THE COOL GANG!") or too dark and cynical for a girl. (but hey, I have all the good excuses). I just hope this all is worth it. It has to be.

The NATO flag is pretty (for a flag). The UN flag even more, but a bit too detailed for a flag (or at least a helmet: "is that one of us?" "I can't see, let me get closer.").
The USSR anthem is nicer still. ![]() ![]()

But it's difficult to know whether it's worth it. It's too much just a (geopolitical) game for all involved.
But it's probably worth it, choosing the lesser of two evils. In the end. Go for it!

But do rest. El Che did (I think).
It's like boxing: timing and force. You can't exhaust yourself before the end, or you'll lose (generally). Edit: And you are no use fully manic (I suppose).

Talking about co-opting stuff: the music that the EU adopted as an anthem goes against everything the EU stands for, but because of corruption not the "core values", not Schiller when he wrote the poem, but the Schiller and Beethoven when the music was written, opposing Napoleon Bonaparte for corrupting and co-opting the "core values" of the French Revolution.
Luckily, the EU doesn't have a Bonaparte, NATO doesn't currently have one (maybe a Turkish wannabe, I don't know) and Russia does. But it's still rather ugly. Not cool.

Your post reminded me of a movie called, "I'll Sleep when I Die." I liked it very much.

Venus you deal with things on a daily basis that most everyone here can't comprehend. I have no idea how you manage it.
Do whatever self care you can and need. I know you hate hugs but I'm giving you one anyway ![]()

Ah not really. Things had gotten even weirder. I have gotten into YOLO mood lately (and I am officially using "there is gonna be WWIII soon" for dietary sins). I guess right now the only thing is to do right things and cherish life.
