I'm still adjusting to clozaril (and a bunch more gabapentin). It is definitely helping and my frustration is just that my pdoc has 3 people on clozaril. It's not like most meds where she has seen hundreds of people on it and knows from experience what to do next. So we keep adjusting things.

But it is 10,000 times better than how I felt 3 months ago tonight when my pdoc called the hospital to tell the dr that the patient she'd been contacting them about needing treatment just kicked a dishwasher while screaming F@#$ when that patient never swears or gets violent and they said I could come immediately but I couldn't because I had taken meds already. So, so much better than that night.

Another 3 months and hopefully I'll be more like me again.

I am over medicated and I have a lot of problems with sleeping especially since I am in the middle of tapering off Ativan. I am so used to feeling crap that I call it my new "stable" now. I'm sure that my doctor has plans for reducing or eliminating a few more meds so maybe, just maybe I will start to feel better.

Baclofen - 30 mg
Klonopin - 1.5 mg
Ativan - 3 mg (down from 6)
Risperidone - 5 mg
Propranolol - 40 mg
Tegretol - 400 mg
Lamictal - 300 mg
Cymbalta - 90 mg
Zopiclone (Immovane) - 7.5 mg

Not happy at all. But we are in the early stages.

I take Cipralex for my anxiety and have for years. That one I'm fairly happy with. I have had to increase my dose which worries me though because I'm maxing it out now and don't know what I'd do next.

I stopped taking my seroquel. Hate it. I still couldn't get a full nights sleep but I felt drowsy and groggy all day every day. I increased the dosage as she said to but it just wasn't working. Also made me eat way too much and I put on weight.

I am also out of Ativan and I think I'd like to get another prescription of it again. I've felt the need for it a lot lately.

I see my pdoc next week so we can try our next step.

I'm really happy with it. This is the most stable I've ever felt. Don't feel overly medicated, just right. Can still cry at movies etc, but can manage through the tough times. Still have to come off 2.5 mgs of zyprexa, I take it for sleep. But I think I'm going to be able to. My psych nurse wants to take me off lorazepam and I'm not sure about that. I bet I'll just get insomnia again. But right now, the way my meds are, feels perfect.

Still getting into the groove of things. I like the Topamax. 100mg. I took it originally for migraines but they said that it could also help with Bipolar. Then Lamictal was added on. It's not too bad. Up to 150mg on that. Now I'm also trying Wellbutrin. I'm on day three. 75mg. I guess we will see how this goes.

I tried Seroquel quite a few years ago. Hated the stuff. Gained 60 pounds and felt awful.

My most recent cocktail seems to be helping. I just tried to drop the Latuda dose and felt myself becoming agitated and depressed again so I've upped it back to 80mg. Lithium has been a solid performer for me and Ritalin helps my concentration and amazingly helps me sleep more soundly somehow. It also oddly helps with depression a bit. Clonazepam is for anxiety. Some days I don't need it but others I do(more often than not). I've tried to get off it but the withdrawals are hell and I can't deal with the extreme anxiety while working and studying.
Overall I'm happy but wish my mood would be a bit brighter. I guess it's better than being manic then mixed and depressed in its wake.

I feel I am doing okay with my most recent cocktail now that my Seroquel was upped. Before that, I did not feel Lamictal was doing enough to keep mania or hypomania in check, but with a higher dose of Seroquel, now I can see that they both work pretty well together for me.

I still get depressed, but I'm managing. I figure no combination is going to be perfect. There tends to be costs and benefits, whether it's with side effects or symptom management abilities. I try to stay realistic about the medication reducing symptoms rather than completely eliminating them. Klonopin works well as a PRN for anxiety for me too. I'm also glad that I don't need constant bloodwork with this cocktail, and the side effects are tolerable for me right now.

I'm not too happy with the current cocktail. One of the meds is aggravating my anxiety and I'm pretty sure it's Latuda. I'm only on a low dose of it now. It seemed to be okay when I was in the hospital but now it's become unbearable.
