How much do you pay for your meds on a monthly basis?
I think it's about $35-40 for me. Latuda is like $30 with my insurance... Then Lexapro is $0.66 and Lamictal is... I forget... but around $10 I think. When I had my other insurance, it was like $20. ![]() |

I live in Ontario and pay about $100 a month for meds. I don't have private insurance and the provincial plan is so lousy i never reach my deductible.

Let's see...I take 6 psych meds, all generic, and all between $2 and $5...so $25ish maybe? For awhile I was paying $30 for Latuda, and then my insurance changed and it went up to $50, but I was only on it for a few months after that change which is good for the wallet.

Around $30.00 a month for everything I use. I get my psych meds really cheap through Medicare.

If I were to go on latuda it would be $100 a month for me. (Yes. I have insurance. lol)
Anyway, about $21. The price of lamotrigine fluctuates each month for whatever reason.

Between $5-10 usually. I have a good Med D policy and I get my name brand meds through patient assistance programs so they are free (otherwise I couldn't afford them). I do have another $30-50 in OTC meds and vitamins as well. I try to stock up on those on sale.

I'm on Medicaid so I don't pay anything for mine except a $1 co-pay for Geodon. I guess the powers that be didn't like the fact that I'm on two anti-psychotics, so I had to have prior authorization and a co-pay for that one. No biggie. I'm not complaining.

I'm stable on Trileptal, Effexor, and Wellbutrin. So I get a three month supply for $40 each. Since the Lamictal is still being tweaked, I've payed $10 and $20. Restoril I have to buy monthly at $10 a bottle. All generic with private health insurance.

I have both Medicare and Medicaid so I'm on a HMO advantage insurance Latuda has a $7.95 copayment but I get three months worth at the same copayment. The rest of my meds are a $2.95 copayment and I get most of them for 3 months at a time too. But I'm only allowed to get one month of the sleep meds at a time so it ends up costing more than the laudta even though it's a generic. Then about September they are free. I take 6 total RX 4 of them are psych meds. I also buy 10mg melatonin and take Benadryl and omega....those cost more than the RX.

My clozaril should be $20/month because the pharmacy is only supposed to give me week at a time. But they don't seem to know this and my pdoc says she knows I'm responsible so she doesn't worry. Fine with me. $15 is a lot of money.

Up until last week, my meds were free with medicaid. I have no idea how much they will cost now but I pray not much. I am without a job (stay at home mom) and going through a divorce.

Around $25 a month for me. It would be a lot more if I wasn't on disability.

I know some ways to get lower prices/free meds. PM me if you find you need details. I was uninsured for a long time before Medicare and learned tricks.

Nothing right now because I'm not on any meds. But it wasn't too horrible on our insurance. Generics are $5; brand names on the insurance formulary were $25; non-formulary (which my pdoc was kind enough to try to avoid) were $60. We have a federal flexible medical spending account, so unless those funds ran out before the year was over, it was pretty painless.

I'm on Medicare with additional help... My scripts are $3 or $7 each and I have enough prescriptions that I pay about $35 a month total.
