Do you ever fear rejection?

Idk the lady in the cubicle next to me is having a relationship with the Guatemalan cleaning lady. Yesterday they were putting grapes in each other's mouths in a sexual way, then giggling about it... even though the cleaning lady regularly sticks her hands in the toilet (cos that's her job)
I don't fear rejection from her. In fact, I would encourage it. PLEASE REJECT ME |

Related to this, I noticed that I get upset a lot fearing public embarrassment, e.g. through rejection/failure (probably more failure than rejection). Messing up on my own is fine, but my perfectionism and fear about public embarrassment seems to be the biggest thing I don't manage well... probably not what you meant though.
Been meaning to get CBT for it, not sure if DBT or something else would also be good for that.

I really hope DBT would work for that. I'm waiting for a new (and first) appointment with a new therapist and we'll see whether I could join a DBT group maybe. CBT might work. But I'm pretty good at dispelling crazy beliefs (obviously only when not psychotic). It's just impulsivity together with such beliefs which are the biggest problem, but CBT is rather too slow for that. But together with DBT maybe. ![]()

I don't fear rejection. Is that weird? Maybe it's because I'm rejected all the time.
And I'm close enough to a cleaning lady. Don't knock cleaning ladies. I like dangling grapes into the mouths of clackers aka office people. lol

Idk. Donald Trump wants to get rid of my friends... The struggle is real.
I think if my people had the choice between going to school and joining a cartel, they would choose the cartel. |

That kind of thing really doesn't help. Racism is racism, regardless of whether you talk about your own "race" with pride or with scorn.

The Hispanics who flee Central and South America are often trying to flee the crime in hopes of achieving the American Dream. Most of the education down there is relatively poor, and a lot of them don't speak English, which makes it nearly impossible to get a decent job in the US unless they have the money to learn English. So f given the option to choose an English education or join the cartel, they will probably join the cartel because it's easier and more lucrative unless they can somehow immigrate to the US legally, but that's very difficult. Usually you need a job and someone to sponsor your visa... and well, how are you going to get a job without an English education? It's going to be incredibly difficult The other thing is, the cartel is a very scary thing for most. Having the protection of the cartel is something that might be very useful. So yeah, when it comes to cartel vs education, probably cartel. It's not racist; it's fact |

Y aprendiendo C++ es más fácil que aprendiendo Inglés, no?

That's irrelevant, though.
There are plenty of people who can program in C++ and speak English fluently, so there's almost no point in hiring someone who can't speak English Most tech companies these days outsource their work to India (because that's where labor is very cheap), but the Indian people they hire can understand and speak English fluently (or close to fluently). Matter of fact, it is significantly cheaper to hire someone from India than it is to hire someone from Mexico (for example), regardless of the person's English skills. Plus, the quality of education in India is, generally speaking, much better than the quality of education in Mexico. All the more reason to hire an Indian person over a Mexican person who can't speak English. Hell, you're still better off hiring an Indian dude who can't speak English. The odds are against you if you're Latino and can't speak English |

I don't fear rejection, but I do feel bad when rejected. Like most people I think. But that doesn't stop me from taking a chance on people and putting myself out there.
