How is your eyesight?

I have 20/10 vision, which is better than 20/20. No glasses here!

It's funny because I've been using a computer daily for the past 12 years. I'm only 25, though... so maybe I'll need glasses in the future.

Lousy. When I don't have my contacts in or aren't wearing my glasses I bump into or trip over things.

This a GREAT QUESTION!

My eyesight has deteriorated since I started medications. I'm not sure which one is the culprit. My eyesight changes through the day. What I mean is it is at it's worse in the morning after I take my meds and gradually improves during the day.

Also attributable to the meds is my sensitivity to light.

I was better than 20/20 my whole life but the last four or five years I have needed
reading glasses. Mostly for very small print.

Not sure what the actual degree is but I've had glasses since I was a kid. I now have bifocals. My nearsightedness is actually getting better the past couple of years.

I think I'm worse than 20/200, I cant read the big E at the top of the chart without my glasses. if they changed the letter on me id be clueless. the whole chart just looks like a giant grey blob. my eyes are awful.

My vision was 20/10 for most of my life then around 50 I started buying the over the counter glasses for reading...then I started wearing two pairs to read paperbacks. I finally went to the eye doc last year and have my first pair of bifocals plus an extra pair just for reading. I do blame meds for blurry vision. But I'm the opposite of justafriend it starts out ok and gets worse as the day goes on.

My eyesight is pretty bad. I am short-visioned. Getting close to needing long vision glasses too. I hate wearing glassed but cannot afford contacts as the ones that work with my dry eyes cost $2 a day. I have considered laser surgery but again it is too expensive. Anyone had laser surgery? I am curious to how well it works.

My vision sucks. I'm blind in one eye and the one I can see out of? I'm near sighted as hell. Pfft.

Not as good as it used to be. I have a "lazy eye" that was never corrected. So unless I make a conscious effort to focus both eyes together, I see two different scenes at the same time. Then my brain has to quash one in favor of the other... I also had a detached retina...

My eyes are terrible, too. Can't read the big E, either, without squinting. I started wearing glasses in 6th grade and my eyes have gotten progressively worse since.

My eyes drift apart after sustained focus like driving. I see two diverging highways and can't tell which I should follow. It's worse when I'm tired (like when I take my Seroquel XR too late the night before).

I tried contacts but I'm allergic to two different types of lens and two different solutions.

My big problem is astigmatism. It only started impacting my life when I was in college and couldn't keep up with the notes.

What I hate is switching between sunglasses and normal glasses. I end up in stores with my sunglasses on all the time. Trying to use the debit machine is hard. The polarized lenses make the screen nearly impossible to read, but I can't read it without my glasses !

slightly off from 20/20. Just went last month because I hadn't been to an eye doc in 22 years. Figured since I'm turning 40 I should get checked. Said my peripheral vision is so good I might as well have eyes in the back of my head

I'm legally blind in my left eye, which the right eye pretty much used to make up for until I hit 40. I used reading glasses for years, then finally broke down and got bifocals last year. I hate glasses but don't want to put things in my eyes, so I put up with them and enjoy better vision. My eyes still get blurry when I'm tired or my blood sugar goes too high, and I think my meds have something to do with it as well. But overall, I'm doing OK with the bifocals.

my eyesight is probably the only thing left that's important, that's actually still in tact.

memory's going, hearing's not so great (it is sometimes, but i sometimes have to ask twice what was said)

pain threshhold is terrible, sense of taste deffenetly lets me down sometimes.. i'd say it's the eye sight i rely on

OK this is what I wanted to say:

I went to the eye doctor yesterday, because the impact of my car accident,
broke all hell loose with my floaters. I'm telling the girl I'm there because my vision is bad due to an accident. (BTW, never tell an eye doctor about an accident. My previous eye doctor refused to see me because of the accident.

She insists that I take the eye exam, because "it will be good for your prescription". "I don't need a prescription sweetheart." "I got 20/20 vision".
"Are those just for reading?." "Yes". "They are 1.25 and is too much."
"I don't need an exam when one of my eyes is falling down."
"I'm sorry, I have to follow protocol." "What you need to do is dialate my eye
so the doctor can see what's wrong."
"I'm not getting an eye exam with one eye falling down and half the other."
"I'm sorry sir, if "we" don't do the eye exam, you can't see the doctor."
I already was with a Champion hanging, because the other arsole doesn't see accident pacients, so I complied.
"OK". "Just off the record." "No sir on the record". "Go ahead, we're burning daylight."
I knew what was coming, that's why fought so hard. 20/25. Can you imagine Superman with 20/25 vision?. She also dilates my two eyes.
When the doctor saw my eye, told me: "Don't leave, I'll see you in a 1/2hr."
"Laser doc?." "You got it.".
Went the reception to pay. I had a big poker tourney that night, and I'm chicken. "I'll come back on Wedsnday". "I'm busy."
"The doctor said right away. It is serious.".

It happened that this doc is a better welder than the other. And has better welding equipment too. My eye is coming back to normal and I'm sure it will return to 100% capacity. However, how do I steal the record?.
Superman is not a crook. But has a reputation to uphold.

My vision was pretty good until I hit 40. Near perfect but with an astigmatism which would tire my eyes. Now I need some good reading glasses because small print is blurry and I'm moving it farther away from my eyes to read.
