Do you live in an extremely rural area or something?

I have plenty of pdocs and therapists where I live, but most of them reject my insurance.

My pdoc did the same as yours when it comes to BP. I told him I didn't have a family history of BP, so he assumed I was lying about my symptoms or telling him the wrong symptoms. He then gave me Lexapro without a mood stabilizer to "test" for BP. I don't know how common it is to do this, but this happened to me as well.

I think part of the reason he wouldn't prescribe Adderall is because he thought I faked my symptoms in order to get an ADHD diagnosis.

No, I don't live in a rural area. Apparently just in a shortage of pdocs area.

I don't have a family history either. Maybe they just do that with family history less people.
