Besides BP and other psychiatric disorders, what other conditions do you have? Do you think they're well managed?

I have IBS and genetic hypercholesterolemia. Well managed for the most part.

Your turn

Osteoporosis (bone disease) - not managed at all, slowly getting worse.
COPD (lung disease) - managed but the disease will always progress no matter what I do.

PTSD and Fibromyalgia. Both under reasonable control. Both flare up at times. It can be tough managing both with BP. Stresses me out at times.

-Fibromyalgia- On Lyrica but not well managed. Other issues have been more pressing.

-Endometriosis & Ovarian Polycystic Syndrome- had a total of 9 surgeries for this, including a total hysterectomy. They didn't get all the endo tissue so I still have issues.

-Currently Undiagnosed Chronic GI issues- Still trying to get diagnosed for complicated and horrible GI issues. Waiting for next appointment with GI doc to see if it's Crohns Disease. On tons of meds including heavy pain meds and ones to make my bowels function. Not managed very well at all. Doctors just keep throwing pain killers at me. Also waiting for appointments to get tested for autoimmune disorders. My twin sister has lupus so I have to rule that out as a possible cause of my issues too. It's a nightmare.

Seborric dermatitis - on my scalp its a nightmare, you can see the scaling and hairloss, I scratch until I see blood sometimes, visited several dermatologists over the years but nothing has helped longterm.

Undiagnosed reproductive issues- I haven't gotten my period for almost 2 years and I never bothered to check out why, too busy worried about my mental health to be honest.

They say bipolar. I don't think is true. Most prominent sign of being crazy. Denial.

Fibromyalgia - not well managed
Ibs - not well managed
Chronic pelvic pain - not well managed
Slipped disk and stenosis in neck - reasonably managed
Osteoarthritis - managed ok
Chronic migraines - not well managed

I'm sick more often than I'm well and it's depressing. It complicates the bipolar because I get situational depression from the sickness, and when I'm well, it's usually hypo behind it and I hate medicating the wellness I feel away.

Ptsd- pretty well managed
Back pain from a ruptured disc- not well managed.

I get 30 vicodin a month for the back pain, not nearly strong enough. But in my state they have really cracked down. It sucks....

Fatty liver disease
High cholesterol
High blood sugar
Acid Reflux
Obstructive sleep apnea

They're all being managed as best as I can, considering I also need to lose a boat load of weight (from meds and not eating right)

Hypothyroid, migraines, asthma with an allergic component that makes me dangerously allergic to certain cleaners, perfumes, etc. Chronic constipation. Vit. D deficiency

Currently bronchitis and a sinus infection. Feels like I've had both forever.

GERD/ulcer which was well controlled once I quit drinking, but it flared up again when I recovered from anorexia earlier this year. The shock to my digestive system when I started eating again was pretty intense, and it's still a problem even though I've been weight restored since March. I don't want to go back on acid reducers, but I take so many Tums it's kind of ridiculous.

Gastritis- comes and goes
IBS- Immodium is my friend
Acid reflux- it kills my voice and I am a singer, so it's been a real bummer. It comes and goes from being somewhat under control to being out of control. :-P

Bipolar (untreated led to bad decisions led to being stalked and unplanned pregnancy when single)

Anxiety (from stalking and religion causing me to feel like a terrible person for having unplanned pregnancy)

Borderline Personality Disorder (from stalking, and marrying someone who was abusive because I thought I deserved it. Then led to marrying 2nd husband because I thought my dead Sensei would expect it - to raise her child and be honorable)

General Anxiety Disorder (from life choices leading to constant panic and indecisiveness)

Eating Disorders (from expecting an image of skinny, and eating my emotions).

Agoraphobia (from being fired one too many times, and realizing my entire life had been a series of bad choices caused by multiple mental illnesses).

Physical problems - complications due to being overweight, and vomiting. Right wrist hurts often due to playing computer games since my life fell apart and I am on SSDI. Acid / Gerd / stomach problems do to nerves and eating disorder.

Finally I am on the road to self acceptance and understanding thanks to hitting bottom, and using professional advice and direction to find my way toward sanity.
