I have been repeatedly told to track my mood and energy level. So, to those of you who do this, how exactly do you rate each day?

Is each day ranked on a scale of 10, with 5 being stable and baseline? Or have you got some other system? Help me out, please, because I just drag along most of the time, then bounce for a while, then go back to dragging, but can see no pattern, have no notes regarding triggers, nothing.

Thanks.

Thank you. That demo looks very cool. This is just what my docs have been pushing for me to do.

I don't use a mood tracker. My treatment team has never required me to use one. I've tried to use one but I don't know if it was helpful. I think if I only had the bipolar diagnosis, I would find it more useful. I have found charts it lead me to over analyze so I just mentally "check in" and look for patterns or signature behaviors.
Thanks for this!

I have two Android Apps "eMoods" and "T2 Modd Tracker"
The first one is very simple and the second can be customised how you like it.
I only use two because I have overadvanced the second one when I was hypo so it's too much to fill in when I'm low on energie
Thanks for this!

That's kinda the way I've been going about it, but I can't always remember details. This tracker looks good in that it will allow me to share the chart with my docs.

That seems simpler and more intuitive than 1-10. Thanks.

Yeah, and probably better than the -3 to +3 I've used, because I was always using halves. The ratings just seemed too wide. And the twos. It would be too easy to default to in indecision. 5 seems just right.

I should start charting again. With no sense of time, it's hard to see the larger picture.

Psych gave me a little booklet one one time. The segments are too wide (only 5 to span highest to lowest!!), but the catagories were good. Mood, energy, social and mind (focus). I find too much emphasis on mood less than helpful. There's so much more to it.

Those really are good categories.

glad to be of help. mood charting can be difficult when you have mixed episodes though, and that's primarily what I get so I didn't benefit much from the experience.

Also, if you go to www.depakote.com there is a mood tracker chart you can print out as well. Just another option to consider.

The tracker blue posted has the potential for tracking mixed episodes as well. If you want one, it may be worth checking out.

I use an app called Grid Diary (it's on iPhone for sure, don't know about android or windows). I like it because I can track my mood, but it also asks me short questions each night that I can customize which helps me track my mood a little more in depth, but not so much that it's too hard for me to do every night. I always get a reminder on my phone and it takes me 5-10 min
