Is it pssible to be manic or something similar and get the recommended 6-8 hours of sleep at night? Was just wondering cause I have quite a few symptoms and have brought this up with my therapist but she doesn't think there's anything wrong because I'm getting enough sleep. Thanks, Danielle

Reduced or lack of sleep tends to be one of the symptoms...but is not the only symptom to dx a manic eposide...Look under Disorders and you will find more...

I would discuss the other symptoms...if she is basing decision on the fact that lack of sleep is not present you may want to get a second opinion...
