so in a previous post I stated I have a date coming up tomorrow. what makes me nervous is that we have known each other since we were about 10 (26 now) and to my knowledge we've both had a thing for the other pretty much from the start. so this date is gonna be more of me revealing these facts and seeing where she stands on them, than the usual getting to know you mumbo jumbo.
Pretty sure she's unaware of the self harm (that's within the last year and a half for me) but right now I have big burn scars covering my left forearm and I don't want her to ask about them... :/ Idk this whole thing's just driving me crazy, at least its tomorrow, and I'll see her today in a little bit. I'll make a new post after we've had the date to let everyone know how it went

if you wear long sleeves then maybe it won't be an issue regarding your burn scars???

Good luck!
If you've got any long-sleeved collared shirts, you can wear one of those even though it'll be hot outside. At least it won't look weird like wearing a sweater or a sweatshirt. The collared shirt doesn't look suspicious |

I think if she says something "oh I burned it" is general and acceptable without having to go into great detail. That's what my pdoc did when she broke her arm and obviously didn't care to discuss how.

First dates are nerve racking. I almost puked before my first date with my husband. I think a little bit of nerves are part of the thrill unfortunately. I'm wishing you luck on this first date. Be yourself, try not to let the nervousness keep you from enjoying yourself.
