For those that experience hypomania, do you sometimes not "feel" or appear manic but your thoughts are still an indicator? For example you get intrusive thoughts that youre "the greatest" and things like that?

In my experience, I know it's possible to not appear hypomanic on the outside and still feel it brewing on the inside. This is often the case before it starts showing more and more unless there is an intervention for me.

Do you experience this?

Well, I don't get "the greatest" thoughts going through my mind but I've been hypomanic and been the only one who knew I was.
Thanks for this!

I just start feeling invincible. Like, "whoa, I'm the best and everything is so easy,"
I get surprised, "why am I suddenly so good at this? Damn I'm good at this"

I feel great like, "hot damn I'm charming. And entertaining and pretty and HILARIOUS"
I'm suddenly invincible, " oh I wish that cop would pull me over. I'd punch him in his ****ing face, and it will also be HILARIOUS"
Etc etc etc

Yes, when I'm hypo, I sometimes don't notice and my husband is the first to point it out. I've also had times where I knew I was hypo, but didn't want anyone else to know, and I was able to effectively hide is from others for a short time. I hope this information is helpful to you. (((Hugs)))

Yes, but I get them all the time. However they are heightened when manic. Also, I can hide my hypomania pretty well too. Mania, not so well. My T can see through both though.

Everything is easier to do, things are more colorful, more funny, etc.
I may feel giddy, very amused. Life has a lot more color and texture!
I have never thought I was "great," yet some ppl have that feeling about themselves.

I do become more creative.

Existential ideas/thinking feels as wide open and expansive as infinite infinities.

My hypomania can vary from euphoric to dysphoric. When euphoric I feel invincible, like a superhero. This turns me into a race car driver, rock star and super intuitive person in general, amongst other things. Or so I believe. My thoughts race and while I do a lot I am not very productive with most things as I jump from task to task. I sleep less but don't feel tired. I feel like a god and organise everything in my life. My thoughts can become grandiose. I am also often very irritable and inpatient.
Dysphoric mania is hell on earth. The euphoria is gone and I am very low and dark. Irritability and agitation are high and my racing thoughts spiral downwards into darkness. This is a mixed state. Hope that helps.
