I've not done the chat before, but I am interested. I looked at the instructions on the tech forum and found it confusing/complicated. Any easy instructions or suggestions? I've used chats before but never at PC.

What about those of us who apparently aren't even sure now if they're bipolar, thanks to their pdoc? 😕 I hope we're still welcome 😉

IDK. It sounded like you had a hypomanic episode before when you posted about it (less need for sleep, super productive, energetic, etc.), but that's just my opinion.

Also, BP exists on a spectrum. Not everyone who gets hypomania becomes hypersexual or does crazy sh*t. You only need to meet 4 of the 7 DSM-V criteria for hypomania in order to be Dx'ed with BP II. Also, hypomania doesn't have to last at least 4 days. The DSM-V says hypomania can last 2 days even. It's written in the section for BP NOS if you're curious about it. (It talks about exceptions and all that jazz.) A PDF of the DSM-V can be found here: http://psy-gradaran.narod.ru/lib/clinical/DSM5.pdf Check out the NOS section, page 148

Sorry for taking over the thread

I don't know how to enter the chats. I've never used the chats before. Do I need to download anything?

There will be a room titled Bipolar chat.... Rainyday, you simply click on CHAT at the top of the home page and from there I choose Non-Popup Chat. If you are on a mobile device you would choose Mobile Chat. No need to download anything
Thanks for this!

That was exactly my thinking. Oh well, as I said before, I'll discuss my concern with him at my next appointment. In the interim I have scheduled an appointment with another psychiatrist for a second opinion, but that appointment isn't until September!

I was not able to make it to chat last night.
I had been hoping to make it.

It's a busier than usual here with the holiday. Lots of company stopping by, etc.

Did you all have fun?

I truly appreciate this community. Lots of truly good-hearted people. I enjoy the sense of humor, as well. I feel fortunate to be welcomed here. I hope to make it to chat soon.

I try to enter flash chat to attempt a trial run to be able to use chat for the Bipolar chat later today. When I click on flash chat it gives me a sign in screen; however it won't let me type anything. I am using an iPad if that helps
