Well I started Lexapro just 5mg yesterday and I've had a bad reaction and my pdoc told me to stop taking it. Today was worse than yesterday but I've had:
• Anxiety
• Panic
• Confusion
• chest pains
• chest tightness
• Derealization or feeling out of body
• Feeling generally uncomfortable
• Like I'm coming out of my skin

In addition to all that weakness and fatigue. It's been a pretty rough ride. I called him yesterday when the chest pains started and he said as long as I'm not having rapid heart beat, sweating, or pain raidiating through my jaw or arm I would probably be ok. I took it this morning and felt really panicky and scared and had the whole list of side effects I listed above even worse so he told me to stop taking it.

Lexapro has a half life of 27-32 hours. I hope it gets out of my system soon. I only took it for two days.

Will I feel withdrawal effects from two days? I just wanna feel normal again. This has been sucky. I even had to call in sick to work today. Thanks for listening guys.

Stopping an anti depressant can have those effects. It should pass within a few days since you were only on it for a sort time. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Wander,
I just called a 24 hour nurse line I have access to and also a 24 hour pharmacist. They both seemed to think I won't have much problem discontinuing the Lexapro after only two days. Hope I'm back to normal soon. Thanks.

Thanks so much for everyone who took time to post and send me best wishes. I am feeling much more like myself. I was able to go to work today and do well. I guess sometimes we have to try stuff to know for sure and know what doesn't work. Such is life! Thanks for the support!

Yay! I was thinking of you earlier and was wondering how you were feeling. I'm glad you are feeling better. That's awesome. xo
