Never, amazingly, though once ER docs thought I was there for an attempt. Actually it was a kind of self-harm, but the incident report says "suicide attempt."

Never tried on purpose, but maybe subconsciously.

Quite a few overdoses that have landed me in ER. A couple of very serious attempts that I was lucky to survive. Some of the overdoses were done on impulse while in a very distressed state. The more serious attempts were done as I had lost all hope for a life worth living, felt desperate, alone, despairing and could no longer stand the intense torment in my mind. It is the most awful place to be in. Mostly I was in a mixed state but I also had bad circumstances and PTSD to deal with.

Please do not post the ways you have tried to end your lives. This is very triggering for members to read and unsupportive.
The question is, how many times have you attempted to take your life, not how did you try. ![]() |
