Some meds will quit working and never work again if the levels don't stay stable. Lithium is one of those.

I'm taking an extra 12.5 mg of my clozapine 3 nights per week as I can (it makes me really sleepy). My regular dose is 275 mg. Because my body isn't used to that 12.5 mg every time I take it feels like I've had my dose increased. I'm taking it until I see my pdoc next week and then we are going to have to decide to go up or stick to 275 because I hate how the sedation feels (even though that' the goal).

Meds are really weird in how they work.
i am trying

I looked and it actually takes 14 days to get steady blood level of abilify. So that makes it REALLY important to keep taking it or you are just never going to get the full benefit.

I'm glad you took it today. This may sound stupid but when I was working I used to have my patients load their pill boxes with a piece of chocolate so they had a little extra motivation to take the pills. Can you try that? Or giving yourself some reward for taking a full week's worth of pills or something (I've done that long ago before I gave in and started taking things).

Please know that most of us have been there with struggling with meds and know it's not so easy. I sure have. I just have 14 years of dealing with this to help me know that if I want to be able to function I have to take meds; trial and error taught me. We also know that it is worthwhile to take them and that's why we encourage you to. Ultimately it's your choice but I'd hate for you to wind up in the hospital and getting injections, which would be likely if you stopped.

We care about you. (Trust me, I read boring drug profiles for quite some time to find that 14 day thing! )

I know. I truly believe you are and you've made progress. You just have to keep fighting, even though it is exhausting and doesn't always feel right.

i cant reward myself for doing something bad...... but i dont want injections either which maybe that will be enough motivation.

You don't ruin everything. Your existence is not cataclysmic in any way. You have not destroyed rain forests, taken lives (I'm hoping not), or burned down cities. You are a human. Like all other humans, you make mistakes. Please listen to me when I say that you do not ruin everything. It doesn't seem like it now, but things are going to be okay.
