I used to take Wellbutrin. It was very activating, and helped my depression quite a bit.

I couldn't handle Wellbutrin personally. It gave my tongue a sharp edge (ie: not afraid to tell people what I think or feel), kept me up late (less sleep), and rage... oh god... I was so enraged much of that week I thought I was going to punch holes through the drywall (thankfully didn't).

I hope it works for you if you try it though.

It made me mixed within a week. Mean, agitated, dysphoric, mixed.

I couldn't take Wellbutrin - my blood pressure went up. Same for Effexor.

I've taken it in the past on its own and it's made me Hypomanic/manic. I'm now taking an AP and decided I wanted to try welbutrin along with it. I'm only taking 100mg and the first few days I felt a little hypo....but now it's easing up. We shall see what happens. Welbutrin has worked better for my depression than any med I've yet tried so I'm hopeful the AP will keep me from going in the manic direction.
Thanks for this!

I love it. 150mg of XL did make me irritable and gave me insomnia. But pdoc switched me to 200mgs SR and that was so much better.
Thanks for this!

I used to take it. It helped with my depression, but it increased my anxiety.

I've been on it a couple weeks and it's giving me sooooooooo much energy and seems to be lifting the depression . I'm not getting the angry side effect ppl report as of yet. I want to be more sociable if anything because I need to do something with all this damn energy. I'm still early on but so far so good

Made me hypo, then mixed, but hey my depression lifted, well until I went into a mixed episode.

Made me cranky. Helped my depression, didn't help when I went into any mixed episodes.
