on average, how long can you consontrate on 1 thing before you start losing interest?

I'd say for me.. minimum half an hour, but no more than an hour

My concentration sucks.

Minimum is 2-3 mins.. Max is probably 30 mins.

I can't concentrate for long, so I get frustrated and give up.

I'm like Blue....max right now is 30 minutes and I'm lucky when I can do that. My mind bounces around too much.
Thanks for this!

I'm lucky to get through an hour of work right now....which is better than it was. For awhile there it was 15 minutes at a time. I have to get up and walk away. I'm waiting for someone to complain and I get in trouble any time. The truth is its the best I can do right now

Why concentrate on one thing? I can multitask, so I do.... all the times.

Seriously, when I am forced to do just one thing at time, I fidget at least because... it's too much for my frazzled mind.

I can go for 1-1 ˝ hours. Then I need to get up and move around for a while.

My concentration really depends upon the action or situation. Trying to watch tv, read a book, or work on a puzzle is really hard for me. I can sit still for maybe 10min top. Though talking to someone or doing an outdoor activity I seem to be able to do forever.

It depends....if I'm manic my attention span is very short and I bounce between tasks really rapidly....if I'm in a good place and doing something I enjoy I can do it for a few hours.... it that hasn't happened in a long while.

It depends on what I am doing. My concentration is bad when it comes to the things that I have to get done. For instance, with cooking, I will walk away after I do one of the steps and have a hard time staying focused, so I don't do a lot of cooking for that reason. With cleaning, I tend to just do a little bit of work at a time because of my poor attention span. I need to take breaks.

If I absolutely focus on what I'm doing and nothing else then I'm good all day, BUT I cannot have distractions of any kind. I used to drive a truck long distance and that was the only way for me to do it. No radio, no books on tape!
Otherwise not so much.

I can focus on reading the newspapers in the morning for a good 30 minutes, but for some reason I can only manage about 5 minutes on any other reading. I think it's my anxiety that keeps me from focusing, but it's been a big problem both for my quality of life (I used to love reading fiction) and at work.

IT depends on what I am doing as well. If my OCD is particularly bad that day, all I can do is concentrate on one thing, and just do my best to multitask around it.

My mind is always all over the place, so I can't even say!
