I hope it all works out for you. You've got a plan to make things better, keep reminding yourself of that.

Thank you! Do you think I should revise my note? What should I say?

No, I think your note sounds good....just add in the bits we talked about earlier so they get the full picture. Please read my post and keep being my friend. If someone PM's you about me, even if it seems innocent, let me know.

I'm texting my mom about the hospital - waiting to see what she says.

That's a difficult but good step. I'm proud of your courage to tell her.
Thanks for this!

She just said to tell my T and then my pdoc, the appointments are in the same week. She completely ignored the hospital part of my question. Not sure what to do. I don't know if it's because she doesn't want me to go or if we can't afford it.

Even if she doesn't want you to go, you still may need to go. Have you contacted DocJon?

As far as hospitals go if you dont have insurance county may cover it under community mental health. I'm in MI and thats what the hospital had to do for me back when I was in and out.
Thanks for this!

I'm not sure where docjon is. My mother is too proud to accept outside help. :/

Your mother doesn't have a say in it. If you are not covered they will hospitalize you anyways and if you are not covered, over 18 and lower income, the county will possibly cover the costs. I didn't have an income or insurance the first time I was hospitalized and I was never billed for it. They did try to bill me for the ambulance ride but even that was handled somehow in the end and I never had to pay. By getting help you are doing yourself and society a favor. You are more costly in the long run by not getting effective treatment so don't worry about the money. I know that is easy for me to say but it's true. The money will work it's way out....you will have plenty of time to make and worry about money in the future....right now just focus on your health needs and the rest will fall into place.

My mom finally came around and agreed to take me to the hospital. My T is the 7th and she said to just tell her what's going on. Then I have my pdoc the 10th and I'll let him decide if I should go to the hospital.

That sounds far off. Keep posting here and try to mentally prepare yourself for the possibility you might need to call an ambulance okay?

Okay I will. My mom seems sincere though. I really think she'll take me. Just without talking to my step dad first though lol.
