I've been plotting and planning lately for if/when I lose my health insurance if my husband doesn't get a job with health insurance. I've come up with some med substitutions I can make and I'm stocking up on saphris and only taking the 5 mgs every other night or 2 to stretch it out. My pdoc writes for 60 10 mg ones and 30 5 mg ones. I've got about 4 months stocked up of so far. I'm getting both prescriptions of it filled this month and next month so I'll have about 8 months stocked up in total. I pray that my husband gets a job with health insurance before then. haha.

I'm also getting the nexplanon birth control implant on monday, so I'll be good for 3 out of 4 years of this cluster**** that's about to happen. I just hope it doesn't give me the sads like the implanon implant though. I asked my pdoc about it and he scanned me some pages out of a book. It basically said that people in their early 20s and younger have a higher chance of mood being affected by BC and that's when i tried all sorts of BC including implanon and depo. I'm on depo now and don't have the sads, so I'm hopeful.

Anyways I signed up for our insurance for next year, so hopefully I'll have it for a while at least. Just getting ready now, just in case something happens.

It is wise to plan ahead. I am so sorry you have been pushed into this position and really hope your husband can get a job with good insurance. I don't understand the USA health insurance system, it seems so complicated...and unfair to those on low incomes. Good luck

Hey Starbucks gives health insurance for part time workers if you are in a jam.
