As you know, I hear a lot of voices. From all around me and in my ear. Bleh. Well I was wondering if it was common to hear voices in your head too. Saying negative things like you're not good enough, waste of space, (trigger) kill yourself.

I'm hearing both kinds of voices and they're really getting to me.

Yes I've heard both types. Just remember they have no power over you and they can't hurt you.

First of all

I too have heard of folks having similar experiences. I sometimes feel as if I'm getting those voices in my head telling me the same thing. Just make sure you discuss this with your pdoc or t when you see them next.

I get downloaded thoughts of this nature. I guess they must be my thoughts but they seem to come from or have been implanted by an outside source and they send me messages to kill myself, that I'm worthless and everyone would be better off without me. It's all delusional and distorted thinking. For me it's depressive or mixed thinking. I don't hear actual voices but people have tried to make me think I do by saying things and then denying saying them. People can be so sick!

No it's not normal to have this shyyt in your head, not to the degree your putting up with or allowing to go on.

Honestly I have no idea why your not IP since you have been so unwell for so long.

Did you ever get all your meds yet?

My antipsychotic takes away both the inside voices and outside voices away.

Quickest I can get to IP is Monday. If it's agreed upon.

And yes I finally did get my meds. It took forever but I got them. Just waiting for them to kick in now.

I agree that you really should be in IP like I've said before. But to answer your question, it's not normal but it's common for us. But when I'm getting manic and haven't slept in awhile, I don't hear voices but I hear music. It sounds like a cell phone ringing. I'll catch myself hearing it so I'll mute my tv and listen for it. That's how I know it's time to call pdoc asap. This isn't anything to mess around with. Please consider IP on Monday.

I'm going to suggest IP on Monday definitely. It's good to know I'm not alone in this. I hear music and stuff like that too. I hear a lot outside my own mind, but I was just wondering about voices inside my head.

Both are possible. I hear voices inside and outside my head. I've felt like there was something talking directly behind me into my ear and have gotten chills from it. I also hear creepy music play over and over in my head in a loop.

I hope you get the help you need and deserve. Best of luck to you.

You can get voices inside your head too. I've experienced both.

I also experience both...usually believing it is from the Holy Spirit and/or demons. I believe that God is speaking to me outside of my head and that demons have taken over my thoughts if I am super religious. Both are scary but the first is exhilarating. I otherwise will sometimes hear voices so frequently during episodes that I will have to ask others around me if the sound is either real or not real.
