Do you take them?
I have been looking at my medicine cabinet and I have acquired a lot of bottles.
I have reasons for taking all of them...this is what I take:

AM:
Geodon 80mg
lamictal 100mg
lithium orotate 240mg
black cohosh 80mg
Digestive enzyme
vitamin d3 5000units
Calcium 500mg
vit C 1000mg
Coq 10 100mg
fish oils 3caps
muti vitamin

That is 15 pills!

PM:
Geodon 80mg
lamictal 200mg
klonipin .5mg
lithium orotate 240mg
black cohosh 80mg
probiotic
magnesium oxide 1000mg
taurine 1000mg
trytophan 1000mg
GABA 1500mg

That is 13 pills for a daily total of 28 pills.

How do I go on vacation and take all of these pills for 2 weeks?
I will have to bring a bag for all of my bottles.
I think I am getting a bit hypo about this.
I have been on line for hours and hours, more so lately and have been eating and drinking too much.
What do you think?

Usually I take the following vitamins and supplements:

Turmeric 650mg - twice a day
Vitamin D - high strength from compound chemist - once a week
3000mg Fish Oil - once a day
A powder that contains powdered forms of about 80 things like super-foods, ginseng, macro-bioltics and other herbs, vegetables, multi-vitalims and liquorice.
Plus Iso-Whey protein as powered protein has proven to be good for Fibromyalgia.

So 5-6 tablets and two scoops of powder.

Meds listed below but that is my heavy duty IP mix. Normally I take;

Lithium 750mg - 3 tabs
Ritalin 60mg - 6 tabs
Clonazepam 1-2mg 0.5 t0 1 tabs
and rarely Olanzapine to help with sleep. - 1 tab
Oh, and Thyroxine to counteract the effect Lithium has had on my Thyroid. - 1 tab

So 11-12 med tablets.

Right now I am taking 20 - 28 meds alone each day, usually 24. I am only taking Vitamin D and Tumeric while IP though. the rest I am taking a break from.

Can you give yourself a vitamin break? Studies show it is good to do so every few months anyway unless you are seriously deficient. That would certainly take the burden off without impacting your metal health.

I started taking a multi vitamin as soon as I could swallow them. My dad would give them to us every morning at breakfast. I continued to take them during the course of my life pretty consistently. As I became sicker I began adding extra things like high grade pro biotics, extra vitamin C throughout the day and occasional zinc and biotin.....and I need iron for awhile. I got sicker and my stomach was one of the worst symptoms. Got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and then Bipolar shortly after. Found our fish oil was good so added that to the mix and also discovered articles which talked about the different things you should always look for in vitamins to make sure they will actually have any real potency in the body and the researched indicated very expensive vitamins should be purchased. I also discovered the vitamins upset my stomach problems further. Chewable vitamins were more gentle so I switched to those when available with the potency option intact. I also started taking prescription strength Vitamin D therapy several years back and need to go on and off depending on levels.

I have been out of supplements for awhile and low on funds to buy the type I'm convinced I need (which may or may not be true). I plan to get a good chewable Multi, chewable C, high quality fish oil and perhaps some Biotin and Vitamin D.

I usually take a VIT D3 supplement since my PCP suggested it after determining my levels were a bit lower than they should be. Other than that I just take my regular meds in the morning and sometimes my PRN at night.

Over the years I have reduced my overall intake to once-per-day at noon, and I have some old prescription bottles I pre-fill with those adjusted supplements and then just reach for one bottle each day.

My pdoc wants me to take a ton. I'm not very compliant with them. It gets too expensive. Here's what I am supposed to take:

Vitamin D
Vitamin B12
Iron
Fish oil
Calcium/magnesium/zinc

I take magnesium, probiotics, B12, a multi with higher levels than centrum and fish oil. I also try to eat more of anything that is high in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and raises BDNF (like olive oil/garlic). I also watch my protein intake as too much seems to flare up my symptoms. All in all, it's kind of depressing to think that all of this still won't cure me, but I am taking 2.5 mg Zyprexa with complete control of my symptoms, down from 10 mg.

As for turmeric, I used to take that, but then I read it increases dopamine so I eliminated it.

I take 5-htp, L-tyrosine, multivitamin along with my psych meds.

Tried magnesium and had some horrific effects on my stomach. I had to go to urgent care because of it. I'll spare you guys the details lol.

The 5-htp isn't bad. At least I'm not having a bad effect. It is a little contradicting though because our APs are supposed to block serotonin to keep psychosis away and 5-htp raises serotonin. So who knows. I haven't seen a big enough benefit to continue buying it honestly.

I THINK I'm BP1 based on the criteria. I got some medical records and it says BP1. So yea I guess that's it.
