I've been fighting a horrible panic attack since I got up this morning. Music can sometimes soothe me, in particular the 'Bells for Her' by Tori Amos.

I know other people find it too eerie to be calming but it is my go to song when I need to self soothe and try to melt away the anxiety.

Do any of you have a certain song or certain music you use to help calm anxiety?

I used to have a lovely instrimental peace (oceans of love), but it was on my old computer- and since I never knew who composed it, I was never able to get it back (but it was wonderful!)

a year or so ago, I came across this:

and find it really helps me

lea salonga (voice of the little mermmaid), her song- the journey is relaxing. would never know it's her

most stuff by pink floyed. shine on you crazy diamond really relaxes me.
Thanks for this!

Wholetones has helped me. It's a set of cds that I bought, after reading up on what they are about. My favorite is the Key of David.

Here's a blog by someone who was curious about them and bought them.

Van Morrison "into the mystic"
Sinead O'Connor "black boys on mopeds".

Both have very deep personal meaning for me. They make me cry but in a "release" kind of way.

If you're a fan of chillstep, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Majestic Casual channel on YouTube. They have great tracks to relax and be creative to.
