I've been sick and eating "a lot " because of the abilify. Like something every 3 hours. We'll I just ate half a cheeseburger! Thats a big deal to me. I even fb a picture to my sister. I'm switching my mountain dew to lemonade starting today. I just had to share.

my poor sleeping has had the result of my eating at night when I get up ... have added 25 pounds since summer so I feel any bodies pain about there eating or weight issues ... (((hugs))) ..

You could google how to make homemade Gatorade. You can use many different bases, like green tea, lemonade or juice and mix a small amount of salt and maybe sugar depending on your base with water.

It looks like all I need to do is add salt to my drinks for electrolytes.

Yes. Gatorade is basically sugar water with a pinch of salt.

Drink water or homemade Gatorade until you can afford the store-bought stuff. Just don't drink a large amount (>1 gallon), because that can dilute the blood and affect many of the body's systems. Stay away from soda, it does you no good and will put on weight on top of that. You may also want to keep a lid on the lemonade too, it has a lot of sugar and won't do much for your electrolyte balance. Try not to worry about gaining weight from a half-cheeseburger...I'll eat half a burger at Red Robin sometimes and I'm still losing weight (50 lbs. since my husband died in July). Just keep your portions small and don't obsess over calories.

I usually drink a litter of soda a day, up from 20 Oz I use to drink. I'd be hard pressed to drink a gallon but who knows the salt may make me thirty. Thanks for the heads up. My portion sizes have always been toddler size but usually 1-2x a day, now it's like every three hours. I'm worried about gaining weight but not enough to stop. Part of the reason I'm thrilled is I'm not worried about it causing me weight gain. My stomach hurt digesting it, maybe that's just in my head. I'm going to try to put salt in the lemonade to give me electrolytes. I have to change slowly because I'm known for not drinking for days if there's no mountain dew. Lemonade has 63 grams of sugar vs 77 in Mountain dew. I plan to slowly diluted it until water tastes better or I get Gatorade.

Gatorade is more expensive for less and no I don't have money for mountain dew. Lemonade is $7 for 34 qts. That should last me until I have money. I still have some kool-aid I can make also $7 for 34 qts. I love sams.
