My landlord just texted me to tell me her daughter( who is a total flake) is moving in with her fiancee in a week. Now, I was told she would be moving in 2 other times before, and she never showed up. She moved out of state to be with this guy she met on the internet. She's 19 years old and by all accounts has a severe personality disorder. Her parents are supporting her and want her to come home. They are all very dysfunctional, her mother admitted that she has issues.

She was living here before I moved in and then abruptly left. I moved in July of this year. So, my landlord tells me that "they" are moving in and after a few months, they will want the place to themselves. My lease isn't up until July. She wasn't even apologetic about it. I knew this place was too good to be true.

I don't have a job yet except for a part time nanny thing. Waiting on disability, if that does not come through, then I will find something with more hours. Trying to get my migraines under control. I am not in a good space mentally right now.

My lease is month to month and can be broken at any time with 30 days notice. I have only been here for 5 months. Next place I am signing a year's lease.

I asked her if I could stay until July and she said "I don't know if you will want to". Yeah well, the walls are thin here. Living with a couple was not in my plans but I guess it's her house so she can do whatever the hell she wants. Then she said maybe it will all work out.

Now, my agreement said that I was to have a roommate in this place but she was keeping this place open for her daughter to come back. SO she has been losing money all these months. This is not my fault. I knew this place was to be shared, but it wasn't my responsibility to find the roommate.

She got all defensive when I protested and said "you have been living here by yourself for 5 months and this place was to be shared". I know that! Not my fault she was keeping this room open for her daughter.

I told her I was very disappointed. I like living here, I am all settled in. I don't have a job and am dealing with migraines, now I have to start looking for another place to live. Then I will have to come up with a security deposit. Don't know where that's going to come from. Unbelievable.

Could use some encouragement very badly! Thanks for reading.

I am so sorry you are going through this.

Sounds like the landlords are taking advantage of the situation a bit.

The terms of the agreement are very tenuous, unfortunately.

I hope you can find a better situation and soon.

Thank you. I am an excellent tenant. My rent is always on time and I take good care of this place. Her daughter is a flake and will probably wreck this house. I mean, I understand if her daughter moves in, that was the original plan and then I wanted to just stay here till my lease expires. My sister said I should just look for another place while I am living with them rather than waiting for my 30 day notice.

Sounds like you are getting the short end of stick. I'm sorry this is happening. Maybe you should start looking just in case.

Yes, I plan on looking right now, but it will probably take a couple of months until I find something. It took me 3 months to find this place, not taking into account the hassle of having to uproot myself again. I am so disappointed
