Rules I was taught, and that I've lived my life by.

do not move the ball

do not buy anything when excited; buying is destruction.

if you're aroused and about to say something, place the upper molar against the lower molar, do not let them move, you may now proceed.

if you feel angry, do not freaking move a muscle or say a word. STOP.

if you do not know, do not act.

if you must act, fix or clean something. but do not buy.

if in doubt, refer to rule one.

They always seem so odd and out of place when I'm depressed, but those aren't rules for depression apparently. And they've been with me since I was a teen. I'm 50 now.

I've done everything I could to avoid talking to MH people, but I can't go any further. Problem is, I'm up... and its worse, and I won't even have a referral for a couple more weeks. I have no meds on board, other than an anti-androgen that deletes the anger and that other-thing track.

I don't want anyone to see me lose it. I don't want to go inpatient, don't have the time. But I don't know that I can handle 8-12 weeks of this.... I just need to outlast this one more time.

And WHY can't I ever remember this feeling when I'm depressed, I can remember being depressed well enough.

anyone got any magic mantra's that last 12 weeks????

Apologies for intruding though, not diag'ed; do not want to self-diag, but would kinda like to avoid playing chicken with a train for the rush...

Interesting rules! I very nearly went and got another piercing yesterday but I forced myself to go home instead of downtown. (Each one costs about $140!)

Never make an irreversible action that has a decision tree matrix that could lead to permanent negative consequences.

That's harder to remember.

Kinda like in the movies, when a character sees a ghost, or gets bitten by some insect while driving; its their reaction that leads to a consequence, not any effect of the ghost or bug.
