Okay I've been on:
Lithium: 2 years
Valium: 1 year?
Seroquel: I have no idea, 4 months?
Latuda: just 1 month

Seems like I've been on most of my meds for awhile, except latuda. Ever since I started latuda I have been SOO sleepy. I sleep like 14 hours a day and on top of taking like 4 1+ hour naps a day. The other day I slept through the entire new Star Wars movie. I feel so bad for wasting my friend's money. I just can't help it.

On top of all this I'm depressed and dealing with suicidal ideation and psychosis.

I was wondering if others have experienced this much sleepiness? I didn't ride that it was one of the side effects of latuda in the little packet it comes with.

Unless it could be the seroquel that's finally catching up with me? I had actually thought it was doing me some good but who knows.

I only took latuda for a short time. I took seroquel for longer and it for sure made me tired. Really tired. I had to go off it because I was allergic though.

For what it's worth, I take Latuda and do not experience drowsiness.

How much do you take? When I was taking 20mg in am and noon then 40mg at night I was miserably tired but it did ease up.

Now I take 20mg in am and 40mg at night and I'm still tired in the day after taking my morning dose. The secret is to fight taking so many naps because you'll just be more tired after.

I only take 20mg and at night. I sleep better now than I ever have. So I think there might be something to that.

Are you taking it during the day?

Latuda doesn't make me sleepier. In fact it winds me up. Everybody is different.

Latuda initially makes me sleepy and the, 4-5 hours later, winds me up. For this reason, I take Latuda between 3 and 5 am.

Thanks everyone. I just started it so I'm on 20mg a night. I guess I'll tell my pdoc and go from there. I see him next week. I've been drowsy from different meds before, but nothing like this. It's too much to handle.

I take 80 mg of Latuda at night. If I take it in the morning, I'm so sleepy in a few hours, I have to take a nap.
Thanks for this!

I take 80mg Latuda and I do not experience any drowsiness with it. But, when I was on Seroquel, man I could sleep all day and all night with a couple of naps in between.
Thanks for this!
