I'm curious, does anyone here have an Emotional Support Animal to help them cope with their issues? If yes, what has your experience been like? In terms of taking them places, the effect the animal has on your life, taking them to work, travel, etc...

I guess it depends what the "issues" are. I recently read an article that said some folks are abusing this method to prevent them from having to check their dogs into baggage. While I know a service animal can help some, I hate to hear of folks abusing "the cure." It makes things harder for those who really need a service animal to function in public.
Thanks for this!
