I'm struggling with mild paranoia and anger episodes. Unfortunately my family gets the brunt of it. My anger is directed at my opinion of lack of manners the kids (they are stepkids) have , and then not listening. Or exhaustion at the fact that we have to move.
Our landlord is selling our house so we are moving to a new place. I'm tired of fighting myself and my inability to control my anger and quick tongue. I'm taking my meds. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. ![]() ![]()

Hello,
I noticed in your drug sig that your taking very low doses of seroquel and abilify. Maybe a dose increase might help with your anger. Its always wise to take the minimum effective dose, so don't over do it. Good luck

Since you're aware that BP issues could be causing such extreme anger and irritability and also know that the family doesn't deserve that degree of treatment, you can explain that to them and apologize.

I find I am quicker to anger when I am feeling stressed so I use guided meditations to calm myself down before anything irritates me. If I do get incredibly angry at someone, I excuse myself from the room for a bit to cool off. It did take time getting to the point where I could notice I needed to excuse myself and do it before exploding.

I agree. Your Seroquel is only a soporific med - it is not an AP at your dose, so your only AP is Abilify, and you are taking very little of it. A dose increase might solve this problem entirely. Mention your anger to the prescriber.
